WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

NO SMOKING

We have implemented a no smoking policy in all of our houses as of 2021.  Any house that has evidence of smoking inside the building will be subject to a $200 fee added on to their bill or if found after departure, a bill will be sent.  Please dispose of all cigarette butts appropriately in an outside garbage receptacle.

PETS

Pets are allowed at Lake Paradox Club!  There is a one time fee of $25.00 for each pet per stay that will be applied to your bill. Owners are responsible for any damage their pets may cause on the property.  Charges may apply based on damage.

Dogs must be up to date on Rabies vaccination and are not to be brought if they have a bite history.  Dogs are to be leashed at all times and the owner is responsible for clean up.  Dogs are NOT allowed on the grass or sandy area of the beach and should not be tied up near the area while the owners are at the beach.  They may swim in the boat/dock area only.

Cat litter is to be disposed of in the garbage- please do not empty into garden beds or any outside area.

Due to insurance reasons, day visitors are not permitted to use the beach at any time.  Only guests staying overnight in the houses are permitted to use the recreational facilities.  We reserve the right to ask them to leave the premises.

DAY GUEST

From mid-May to mid-October you should bring sheets, blankets, pillowcases, and towels. If you play tennis or Pickleball, be sure to bring your racquet, and if you like, feel free to bring your own lawn games. By all means bring canoes, kayaks and sailboats, although we rent aluminum canoes kayaks and Sunfish. Bring life preservers (PFDs) because New York State law requires that there be one aboard for each person in any boat and that children under 12 wear a preserver at all times in the boats. If you don't have any PFDs, we rent them here for $1.00 each for the length of your stay. Just let us know when you arrive. Do not bring outboard motors. Our rental outboards are 6HP on 14 foot rowboats. Larger boats or motors are not permitted on our docks. Please be aware that in compliance with NYS Law, we do not rent or allow operation of outboard motors to anyone under 18 years of age, unless they present a valid boaters license. Please turn off your car alarms while you are here, and your cell phone when on the beach.

Your house should be clean when you arrive. If you have any problems, please let us know immediately. You are responsible for cleaning the house before you leave. Please remember that during the summer, the next family will be arriving very soon after your departure. If the house is not left as you found it, you could be charged an additional fee for cleaning. For your convience, all houses are equipped with vacuum cleaners and cleaning products.

WHAT TO BRING...OR NOT TO BRING

Checking In

Check in time will not be permitted earlier than 3:00PM during the summer. You are welcome to come earlier and visit the beach, but be aware that your house will not be ready for use before this time.

Off season rentals should ask before their arrival if the house will be ready earlier.

CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT

Checking Out

Checkout time is a strict 9:00 a.m. during the summer season. If you are late leaving the house you may be charged for an extra day.

At other times of the year you may stay as late in the day as you wish. We will let you know if someone is arriving the same day as your departure and how this may affect your checkout time.

Although we do have cleaning staff to go in and complete necessary sanitation procedures, we ask that you leave the house as you have found it when you arrived.  A cleaning fee will be sent after departure for any house left excessively dirty and in disarray.

HELP US PROTECT PARADOX LAKE

Protection of the Paradox Lake watershed is a critical issue to all lake residents, visitors, and the business community.

As a guest at The Paradox Lake Club we ask that you practice the proper procedures to prevent the introduction of aquatic invasive species into our lake. You must follow the clean, drain and dry protocol for all watercraft, regardless of the size, and for all fishing gear. Your cooperation and help will ensure that Paradox Lake stays clean and healthy for future generations and visitors to enjoy. Please help us protect Paradox Lake.

Our town provides a free boat wash station located on rt.74 for all to use.

We also ask that you follow the NYS DEC regulations regarding

transporting firewood.
