Located at 40 River Road, Tuckaway was built by my grandfather for he and my grandmother in about 1930. When I was a child, it had a sign over the front porch which said, "Office." It has a double bedroom in the master bedroom with french windows looking out to the lake. There is also a single bedroom downstairs in the rear and upstairs there is a loft with 3 twin beds (or one king and one twin). Great for the kids! Since my grandfather's time it has been totally renovated and the kitchen ceiling has been lifted into the attic, walls removed, and a new bathroom installed with a stall shower and antique clawfoot tub. The walls and ceiling have been insulated so that it heats quite well with the fireplace - great for spring and fall! The screened front porch has a table for dining and is only steps from the shores of Paradox Lake.
